The Password Verification Server was created by James Kanjo in May of 2011.

In May 2012, the PVS framework was changed to use a HTTP connection by default for faster response time. Use |https=true for a secured encrypted HTTPS connection (slower response time).

In May 2014, I changed my mind. The default will now be HTTPS, and you can opt for normal HTTP via |https=false for a less secure, but faster connection.
